Womens International League for Peace & Freedom (WILPF) This grant assisted WILPF in a program designed to add a desperately needed focus to the New York education system with the message of “Insisting on Nuclear Disarmament.” This message would be furthered by production of a newsletter and community meetings. 1,500.00
New Settlement Apartments This grant helped support this community of 900 formerly homeless families in their critically needed efforts to address the problems of domestic violence through an active educational campaign helping those who suffer from this violence. 1,000.00
Workers Defense League, Inc. (WDL) We were happy to support their excellent program providing both support and representation at hearings for people who have been denied unemployment insurance benefits. 1,000.00
